Craig & Derricott are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Stokes as Craig and Derricott’s new National Specification Manager.
Rob is a technical sales specialist with over 25 years’ experience in the electrical power distribution sector, working in numerous roles. Rob’s work journey started back in 1993 with an electrical apprenticeship, eventually becoming a qualified electrician. He developed hands-on experience in numerous sectors during his time on the tools, including panel-building, social housing installation, and hazardous area work, among others! A desire for new challenges led Rob to take a position with Electrium, part of the Siemens Energy division. As a Business Development Manager, his role encompassed managing delivery programs, tenders, special products, and CPD presentations to medium/large end-users. When an opportunity arose for a national role, Rob joined Lucy Zodion as a Power Distribution Sales Manager. This role provided valuable experience and diversified his skill set as part of the engineering team. The role evolved into the design and launch of new products, creation of a CPD for consultants, and serving as a keynote speaker at industry events. Latterly, Rob was the head of the Energy & Power department at Rittal Ltd, an internal role that emphasized training his colleagues on all forms of switchgear and its practical application.
In addition to a strong electrical background with excellent knowledge of switchgear, installation, and design, Rob is looking to increase the technical expertise within the sales team and among our end-users for Automatic Transfer Switches.
Rob lives in South Wales with his wife and two young children. His interests include most activities that involve being in the great outdoors, such as wild camping, mountaineering, hiking, and cycling, to name a few. He also volunteers at his local Scouts Group, where his son is a Cub.
