Craig & Derricott have had another successful 6 months raising money for their chosen charities, Compton Hospice and Cancer Research UK.
On 17th February 2014, Craig & Derricott sadly lost Paul Cranshaw after a long fight with cancer. Throughout his time at C&D he earned a reputation for professionalism, perseverance and a passion for great customer service. It was a privilege to know and work with Paul, and he is still deeply missed by all.
Compton Hospice is where Paul spent his last few days and as thanks for everything they did to help Paul and his family the employees of Craig & Derricott have managed to raise £667 so far this year. In particular, eight female staff members participated in Race for Life, Pretty Muddy on Saturday 25th June at Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth; a 5k muddy obstacle course that women climb, crawl, and charge through to show cancer that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink!
“We consider this event a fitting tribute to the memory of both Paul and to the family and friends of each team member who we have lost to cancer, and also to those who managed to beat the ‘Big C’.” said team member, Lucy Smallwood-Rose. “We have managed to raise £667 so far this year and are very proud to be supporting two worthy charities.”

C&D Engineering Manager John Mottram, is also taking part in 6 different obstacle course distance events throughout year, with a total of 40+miles to be run. All to raise money will be donated to Cancer Research UK with a total amount of £585 raised so far this year. We wish John good luck for the remaining course to be tackled.
