After the announcement by the Prime Minister on 31st October, we would like to reassure you that Craig & Derricott remains open for business and trading with our usual delivery service, until further notice. Many of our customers work directly or indirectly in essential industries and we will remain open and manufacturing as normal to ensure their continued supply.
Our Staff
The information from government stated that staff must work from home if they can. However, it was made clear that manufacturing must continue. We therefore intend to continue all our manufacturing operations, with certain staff working from home where possible, whom are all contactable as usual via telephone or email.
All of our staff who remain on site are adhering to the government’s guidelines on hygiene practices and social distancing, while our IT support have worked tirelessly to ensure that the home-workers are able to provide the same service and support as if they were in the office.
Our Suppliers
We are confirming with our suppliers, verifying the measures they have in place to ensure continuity of production and wherever possible we already have in place a second source of supply. It must be stated that should there be a major outbreak of COVID-19 in our workplace or the workplace of our suppliers, we could be forced to close that individual workspace for a period and have it deep cleaned.
Your Orders
Thank you to everyone who has placed orders with us. As we enter another lockdown period, we must have clear vision of your product requirements. We ask that you consider placement of firm orders so we can prioritise and calculate the capacity we need. We recognise the current challenges of customer demand versus the overall resource of skilled staff.
Also, if you are planning to close your business during lockdown please let us know so we do not attempt to deliver to your premises.
Summary
We are doing everything possible to maintain our full production during this peak in the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Many of Craig & Derricott’s customers work in essential industries, therefore again we would like to reassure our customers that we will remain open and manufacturing as normal.
