Introducing Mercia-E, the latest addition to Craig & Derricott’s Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) portfolio.
Designed to deliver reliable power transfer with practical functionality and commercial value, the Mercia-E range combines intelligent source monitoring, automatic transfer and Single-Line No-Break Bypass technology in one integrated solution.
Available in ratings from 32A to 160A, Mercia-E continuously monitors two incoming AC power sources, automatically transferring the connected load to the alternative healthy supply when a source failure is detected.
Its integrated Single-Line No-Break Bypass arrangement allows the ATS to be safely isolated for inspection, servicing or replacement while maintaining the outgoing electrical supply, helping reduce operational downtime and providing greater maintenance flexibility.
Housed within a compact IP65-rated mild steel enclosure, finished in Light Grey (RAL 7035), Mercia-E incorporates Modbus RS485 communication, volt-free contacts and clear local status indication as standard.
Engineered for dependable performance, Mercia-E provides a practical solution for commercial, industrial and infrastructure applications where continuity of electrical supply is essential.

Each Mercia-E Automatic Transfer Switch is supplied with the following features:
- Single-Line No-Break Bypass – Maintains continuity of supply while the ATS is isolated for maintenance or servicing.
- Automatic Power Transfer – Continuously monitors two incoming AC power sources and transfers the load to the alternative healthy supply when required.
- Integrated ATS Controller – Programmable voltage and frequency monitoring with configurable operating parameters.
- Modbus RS485 Communication – Enables integration with compatible monitoring and control systems.
- BMS Connectivity – Volt-free status contacts provide connections for remote monitoring and status indication.
- Generator Start/Run Terminals – Dedicated connections support standby generator control functions.
- Mimic Panel Connectivity – Supports remote indication using compatible Craig & Derricott mimic panels.
- Remote Control Terminals – Provides additional control flexibility for remote operation.
- Clear Local Status Indication – Door-mounted LED indicators provide visual identification of source availability, supply on load and bypass status.
- Safe Isolation – Allows the ATS to be isolated from Source 1, Source 2 and the connected load during maintenance.
- IP65-Rated Enclosure – Robust mild steel construction finished in Light Grey (RAL 7035).
- Flexible Installation – Removable gland plates support cable entry and installation.
