The overall goal of commissioning must be to ensure that a facility meets the design intent and the owner’s requirements. This is achieved by proving to the owner that the reliability, redundancy, and resiliency that he or she paid for is indeed present and operational in the finished facility. Craig & Derricott offer the option for you to have any C&D ATS unit to be commissioned.
Why use us for commissioning?
Because there are so many failure scenarios and variables, it is rarely possible or cost efficient to reasonably test each one, but with Craig & Derricott, we will provide a level of testing that will allow you to feel confident that each C&D ATS unit is working and capable of maintaining a fully operational state during its working life.
In most cases, for an ATS to be functionally tested, both sources must be available because the ATS will usually inhibit any transfer if there is only one source. To minimize disruption to the live facility, the ATS testing will likely occur prior to connecting it to the live facility. However, the ATS can be connected to the secondary source if the secondary source is a generator.
We will ensure all Craig & Derricott ATS units have been installed correctly, providing all involved in the project peace of mind and an extended warranty of 2 years.
When to ask for commissioning?
Most customers will want to use the commissioning process to be certain that the installation, performance, and operation of new equipment is acceptable before it supports critical load. This service can be ordered through Craig & Derricott either at the same time as ordering one of our ATS units or can be booked anytime within 12 months of purchase.
Where can we offer this service?
We can offer our commissioning services on any Craig & Derricott ATS units sold in the UK. We also offer preventative maintenance and remedial works on our ATS equipment.
After commissioning, not only will the ATS unit have a guarantee that it will meet the original design requirements and ensuring that the facility embodies reliability, redundancy, and resiliency.
