Make the sustainable choice with GRP

Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester (GRP) is a material made from strands of glass called fibres, which are extremely fine fibres that are woven together to create a flexible fabric. GRP composite incorporates an aluminium oxide aggregate surface, which is diamond-hard and offers high resistance to long-term wear. This material is very adaptable as it can be used in a variety of different applications.

As per the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA), GRP material is 100% recyclable to produce high-quality sustainable fuels and recyclable fibres. Additionally, GRP waste can be a better alternative to cement. Furthermore, when considering its sustainability benefits, GRP is rated highly as it offers:

  • Thanks to its composite strength, it has an excellent life expectancy (20 years and above).
  • GRP is corrosion-resistant making it highly tolerant of even the most aggressive environments.
  • If the GRP gets coloured before the fibres are moulded.  This means that any wear and tear will be barely noticeable because the colour being constant throughout the material.
