After another busy year of research, design, and testing, Craig & Derricott are excited to announce their new range of Automatic Transfer Switches: The Mercia Range.
Craig & Derricott, a British manufacturing company with 100 years in engineering experience, is excited to announce the launch of its latest product range, Mercia. An innovative collection of both panel and enclosed Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) designed for the generator and panel builder markets.
An automatic transfer switch (ATS) is an intelligent power switching device governed by dedicated control logic. The principal purpose of an ATS is to ensure the continuous delivery of electrical power from one of two power sources to a connected load circuit. As such, ATS’s are commonly used for life-safety systems, data centres and other equipment where a loss of supply could cause damage to equipment or present a danger to health and safety.
Mercia ATS offer a solution that sets it apart from the competition. It offers reliability and seamless transition between power sources to ensure uninterrupted electrical supply. These motorised ATS units can be used in various applications, including both residential and commercial installations, to ensure continuous power supply and prevent disruptions.
With the option of loose panel switches, a simple enclosed auto changeover or a more sophisticated form 3 with single line bypass, this product range is available in ratings 32A to 630A and is ready to transform the way you see automatic transfer switches. With the installer in mind, we have created a range that offers quick and easy installation and options to suit a variant of project requirements.
These motorised ATS have the added benefit of sustainability and energy saving as they only consume power when changing state, unlike contactor-driven alternatives which need to be energised all the time.
Available in the Mercia range:
- Loose Panel Switches: motorised panel ATS switch, compliance to EN60947-6-1 PC type.
- Standard Motorised ATS: motorised ATS supplied in an IP65 sheet steel enclosure. The ATS status is visible through a window supplied in the enclosure door.
- Form 3 Standard Motorised ATS: Form 3 motorised enclosed ATS and is supplied with incoming isolators, outgoing terminals, volt free status relays and mimic Modbus terminals for easy connection.
- Form 3 Life Safety Motorised ATS with Single Line Bypass: Form 3 Life Safety motorised enclosed ATS comes with all the features of our Form 3 standard ATS with the additional feature of single line no-break bypass for maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
All ATS units within the Mercia Range are AC33B and can be supplied in SPN (230V) and TPN (400V) AC 50/60Hz. They all are delivered as standard with LED status display, a lock-off actuator for downstream maintenance, generator stop/start delay and Modbus and BMS connectivity.
